  • Starch Milk Adjustment: Starch milk from the starch plant is mixed with water to achieve the required consistency for the subsequent stages.

  • Liquefaction: The starch milk is first sent to a pre-liquefaction tank. Liquefying enzymes are added and the mixture is heated in a jet cooker to achieve liquefaction. It is then transferred to a liquefaction tank for thorough liquefaction.

  • Saccharification: The liquefied material is cooled and then transferred to a saccharification tank where enzymes further break down the starch into sugars. The mixture is held at a specific temperature to achieve the desired dextrose equivalent (DE) value. After this process, it is cooled again and sent to the fermentation tank.

  • Fermentation: In the fermentation tank, yeast is added to the saccharified liquid, which ferments the sugars into alcohol. This stage involves yeast propagation and alcohol fermentation. The resulting fermentation liquor is then cooled using a heat exchanger before proceeding to the distillation stage.

  • Distillation: The fermented liquor undergoes distillation to separate and concentrate the alcohol. This stage includes alcohol separation from impurities, concentration of alcohol, and extraction of remaining impurities.

  • Vinasse Recovery: After distillation, the remaining liquid (vinasse) is processed. It undergoes separation in a horizontal decanter to obtain wet solids. The liquid portion is then concentrated in an evaporator before being transferred to a tank for wet solids.

  • DDGS Production: The concentrated vinasse is sent to a DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles) plant. Here, it undergoes dewatering and drying processes to produce DDGS, a valuable by-product used in animal feed.

Description of Investment Components:

  • Machinery:
The machinery investment includes essential equipment required for ethanol production such as fermentation reactors, distillation columns, rectification towers, dehydration units, storage tanks, pumps, CIP (Cleaning-In-Place) systems, and related processing machinery.

  • Land & Construction:
The land and construction costs cover industrial-zoned land and all necessary structures including production halls, administrative buildings, warehousing facilities, social spaces, and green landscaping areas suitable for ethanol plant operations.

  • Total Investment:
The total investment estimate comprises all critical components such as detailed engineering, mechanical and electrical installations, infrastructure setup, environmental protection systems, logistics, licensing, and energy utilities required for full-scale operation.

  • Auxiliary Equipment:
Auxiliary systems such as steam boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, reverse osmosis water treatment units, control panels, and power supply systems are not included in the listed machinery prices and are to be evaluated separately if required.

  • Project Design:
Project design and feasibility studies are offered as separate services and are not included in the above investment figures.

  • Technical Service & Consulting:
Turnkey installation services are included in the investment scope. Post-commissioning consulting, remote monitoring, and technical support will be provided free of charge for a period of 700 days following the plant handover.
